Student Ambassador
Graphic Design & Social Media Lead
September 2023 - February 2024
In this role I pioneered a brand refresh to establish a consistent and recognizable identity for Texas A&M's 7th annual HA-ICU competition.
Display Poster
I created this 30"x44" poster to be a comprehensive display piece explaining the history of the Charrette and showcasing my overall thought process behind the brand refresh.
It was accepted into and displayed at Viz-a-Gogo 31, Texas A&M's annual curated student art exhibition, in May 2024.
Announcement Flyer
My designs are based on an initial design by Angela Consuelo, the Architecture Student Ambassador for the competition.

Name Tags
Using the brand colors, I assigned a color to each discipline participating in the Charrette, used the University of Maryland's color scheme for the guest name tags, and used black for the judges.

T-Shirt
I went with a simple left chest design on the front and threw in different basic shapes on the back to make the design a tad bit more interesting and follow the overall Bauhaus theme.
Social Media
Prior to the 7th annual Charrette, its social media presence was minimal. In previous years, the only posts were the announcement flyer, student ambassador bios, and Harold Adams biography. In addition to these graphics, I added a "Reasons to compete" post, a "Last chance to register" post, day recap posts, and a winner announcement post.
Student Ambassador Post
I decided to use the Bauhaus' penchant for diagonal lines to center the photos and bios of the student ambassadors, framing them with the extended diagonal lines from the post's title to draw attention to the contrasting verticality of the images and body text.
"Why You Should Compete" Post
Again I wanted to create another heavily diagonal design, this time for a continuous graphic in which one slide leads directly into the next. I separated points using basic shapes and bookended the full spread with the same diagonal shapes to make the design more cohesive.

Harold Adams Biography Post
I wanted to keep the opening graphic of this post very clean and simple to be respectful and keep the focus on Harold Adams. To differentiate the following slides I used the rest of the brand colors as background shapes and placed the squares containing the bullet points in different places. These design choices, plus having several key words bolded, serve to maintain audience retention.
Last Chance Post
This graphic contains very little information, so I decided to place that information at the corners of the graphic, causing the viewer to dart their eyes around the entire image. In the center I used a graphic of the Texas A&M Langford Architecture building which was image traced from a photo provided by the school.
Day 1 Post
For each of the day recap posts I wanted to create a continuous graphic that could fit many of the photos from the event.

Day 3 Post
For the Day 3 post I included photos of each team, both at their table and during their presentation, to hopefully encourage participants to add the post to their story. This is also why I included the logo on every slide.
Winners Post
For this post I used intersecting geometric shapes to frame the photos of the winners and used images of their submitted designs in the foreground.
